Edison Geiler, a multimedia artist based in Lincoln, Nebraska, currently studies at the Johnny Carson School for Emerging Media Arts. His artistic focus spans both the visual and aural realms, with a dedicated commitment to exploring disability and challenging ableism. Edison's work aims to foster empathy and healing, amplifying overlooked perspectives while authentically representing the experiences of the disabled community. In doing so, he seeks to reshape cultural narratives, placing emphasis on resilience, beauty, and excellence.
Edison has collaborated with organizations such as SickPicnic Media and Nebraska Thespians as a freelance videographer and editor to produce video content designed to increase online engagement, as well as working at the Awareness Lab as a podcast producer and engineer. He is now focused on completing his first short film, which he directed, wrote, and produced. The short, an exploration of disability through the lens of self-loathing, is coming out May 2025.
