"KING" is an animated photomontage presenting the daily mental trappings of living with disability, inspired by the visual style of artist Wangechi Mutu. The soundless, looping narrative explores how both societal and individual attitudes toward disability influence self-perception and self-love, asking how does external perception influence internal reflection. Created as a Visual Expression Studio II project at the Johnny Carson Center for Emerging Media Arts, this video was created using Adobe AfterEffects and Photoshop, with images (pictured below) coming solely from Internet stock-photos.
